Fix found for gallery force close on Samsung Galaxy S. Earlier today I installed a market app "Been There". Following usage Been There completely stuffed the preloaded gallery app. The gallery app continued to force close despite uninstalling Been There.
No worries, I soon found this fix. See below:
"your gallery is probably messed up. It happens sometimes in Froyo.
Fix: Go to Settings > Applications > All > Media Storage > Clear data / Force close. Reboot phone.
It will take a long time to scan all media, let it finish. Reboot phone again. All should be well"
